SOUTHWEST IRELAND
Southwest Ireland is the most popular region for golf travellers to the Emerald Isle. With legends such as Ballybunion’s Old Course and Lahinch on the itinerary, it is the perfect choice for those drawn to rugged links and untamed duneland scenery.
We begin at Adare Manor, where immaculately conditioned fairways and true, quick greens offer a contrasting style of golf, more akin to America’s premier parkland venues. From there, the journey continues to Lahinch and Ballybunion before heading to Killarney for a more traditional Irish base, perfectly placed to explore Waterville, Tralee and the spectacular Old Head.
Away from the course, Adare Manor delivers exceptional service, superb facilities and dining at its Michelin-starred restaurant. In Killarney, you will quickly see why so many return to Ireland year after year with the warm hospitality, lively pubs and outstanding local restaurants which create an atmosphere that is as memorable as the golf. For a refined retreat, The Killarney Park offers a true five-star experience, ideal for those who prefer an early night ahead of another day on the links.
IBT Favourite Courses

Host to the 2027 Ryder Cup, this wonderful estate provides the best conditioned golf course in northern Europe. Rebuilt in 2016 under the guidance of Tom Fazio, no detail was overlooked. The highlight being the 15th hole, a driveable par 4 with the River Maigue and the Manor waiting for an errant approach.

The Old Course at Ballybunion has long been regarded as the best course in Ireland and it is easy to see why as soon as you arrive. Set on a spectacular stretch of Atlantic coastline, it combines dramatic dunes with unforgettable golf. The cliffside 7th and 11th holes are among the most exhilarating and memorable in Irish golf.

Lahinch’s Old Course is home to some of the most iconic holes in Irish golf. Old Tom Morris created the legendary Dell and Klondyke, two of the game’s most distinctive tests. Enhanced by Alister MacKenzie and Martin Hawtree, Lahinch blends history, character and brilliance into a true golfing wonder.

According to Arnold Palmer he designed the front nine and mother nature designed the back nine. The front nine plays along flatter land with views of Tralee Bay before entering mountainous dunes on the back with holes 12, 13 and 17 being our favourites.
