SOTOGRANDE & MARBELLA
Andalucia is regarded as the home of golf in Spain attracting golfers from around the world with its superb climate, luxurious resorts and exceptional collection of championship courses.
Marbella and Sotogrande are home to some of the most famous courses in Spain including Valderrama, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, San Roque Old and Real Club de Golf Las Brisas. Alongside these classics, you have the modern greats such as La Reserva, Finca Cortesin and Hacienda Links. Together, they create an exceptional one-centre golf experience unlike any other.
Away from the course, the Costa del Sol offers everything needed for a truly relaxing and memorable escape. Luxury hotels, outstanding restaurants, warm hospitality and year-round sunshine combine with beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife to create the perfect atmosphere both on and off the course. For golfers seeking world-class golf paired with effortless Mediterranean luxury, Andalusia is a destination not to be missed.
IBT Favourite Courses

Perhaps Spain’s most famous course, Valderrama has earned its reputation through both pedigree and challenge. Host of the 1997 Ryder Cup and a long-time European Tour venue, it is famed for cork tree-lined fairways, lightning-fast greens and exacting strategy. A stern test, but one that leaves a lasting impression.

Often overshadowed by Sotogrande’s bigger names, the Links Course at Hacienda is one of the IBT team’s favourites. Recent improvements have elevated conditioning to match the region’s best, while its rare coastal setting delivers superb views of the Mediterranean and Gibraltar. With holes 5–14 hugging the shoreline, it is an essential stop for anyone group visiting southern Spain.

One of the region’s older and more prestigious courses, it has been revitalised by a recent Kyle Phillips renovation that has restored it to its very best. Immaculately presented and strategically engaging throughout, it offers a refined golfing experience from start to finish and remains a highlight of any trip to southern Spain.

Finca Cortesin has hosted some of Europe’s biggest events, from the Solheim Cup to the World Match Play Championship, and it is easy to see why. Cabell Robinson’s undulating design flows beautifully through the hills above Sotogrande, while immaculate conditioning and lightning-fast greens ensure a memorable test at one of Spain’s finest resorts.
